These are lilies of a given colour; frequently these have come from a pond where the colour is known but the variety has been forgotten. Much cheaper than named varieties, same quality.

Pygmaea / Small lilies Suitable for small and/or shallow ponds
Little Sue (changeable)
Darkens with age, a very small lily for shallow water.

Perrys Baby Red (red)
Probably the best red lily for a small pool less than 2 metres across. Best in water less than 60cm deep. Spread 60cm.

Pygmaea alba (white)
(Tetragona alba) A very small white flowered lily suitable for a half barrel or similar with 30cm or less water above the crown. Spread 40cm.

Pygmaea helvola (yellow)
A pretty dwarf lily for small containers with leaves very mottled with burgundy patches. Less than 25cm of water above crown, spread 40cm. Smallest of all the water lilies.

Pygmaea rubra (red)
A very small red lily with leaves also marked with crimson blotches; for small containers up to a half barrel size. Best in 30cm of water, spread 40cm. In slightly bigger pools consider Perrys Baby Red or Escarboucle.

Walter Pagels (white)
A lovely American hybrid lily for a small pond or container, 40cm max depth and spread about the same. Flowers creamy white, almost pink. Tuberosa type.

Changeable In these lilies the flower opens lighter and darkens over three to four days before sinking.
Aurora
A small lily for water up to 50cm deep. Opens orangey yellow then darkens through orange and red, with the benefit of marbled leaves. Pineapple type rhizome.

Indiana
Flowers open yellow/orange and then darken through orange and red. An excellent small lily for a small shallow pond. Difficult to find and slow to grow. Pineapple rhizome.

The second closest thing to an orange lily, but darkens over three days from yellow to burnt orange. A small to medium lily for up to 80cm of water.

A medium sized pink with double cactus type bubblegum pink flowers, up to 90cm deep and spreads 1.2 metres. Odorata rhizome.

Gloire du Temple sur Lot
A classic pink medium lily with odorata type rhizome. Large ball shaped double flowers. Depth and spread to 80cm. Needs a very warm position to flower.

Chrysanthemum type flowers of pale pink darkening towards the centre. Similar to Darwin but with flatter flowers. Medium sized; spread and depth up to 90cm.

Despite the uninspiring name (sorry Nigel) this is a very pretty lily with elongated strong pink petals and dark leaves that set the flower off well. Medium sized.
