Zantedeschia aethiopica (Arum lily)

Zantedeschia aethiopica (Arum lily): This well-known and favourite garden plant is also perfectly happy growing in shallow water and benefits from frost protection when grown in this way. This plant produces a huge number of large dark green leaves and almost luminescent superb white funnel shaped flowers blooming over a long season. It is easy and trouble free and will grow on dry land as well as up to 10cm deep. In Northern areas bring indoors for winter as it won’t survive a frozen bulb. The variety I usually keep is ‘Crowborough’, which is the hardiest.
