Filipendula ulmaria (Meadow Sweet)

Filipendula ulmaria (Meadow Sweet) is our native meadowsweet, a plant of damp riversides, water meadows and hedges, with plumes of white scented flowers. It will grow in totally saturated soil but not submerged. It has excellent wildlife value and is easy and non invasive. It will cope with a variety of soil types and will tolerate a fair degree of shade.
