Cyperus longus (Galingale) is a very worthwhile native plant for larger ponds, quite vigorous, very tough and wildfowl/duck proof. Much hardier than the Cyperus above but with a similar look and flowering later than most grasses in June to September. It’s one of the most commonly used plants in the regeneration zone of a natural swimming pool.
